The Ouwigahara Roguelike is the new game mode that V0.2 (October 3-4) opened to every player, and it is now the game’s main endgame loop: a fresh-equipment tower climb whose milestone floors pay out in Ouwigahara Tokens, the currency behind limited outfits, accessories and the game’s newest title collection. This guide covers the whole loop — payouts, the card draft, the titles that carry perks into a run, and what the strongest players are doing to reach floor 100.
How a run works
You queue for the Roguelike from the Ouwigahara hub (solo or with up to four players). When the run starts you keep nothing — no gear, no loadout — because that is how the mode is built, and community reports agree your level is equalized on entry, so a fresh account and a capped one start the same tower. You climb floor by floor (the Lava Dungeon floor set joined the original tower in V0.2), draft cards between fights, and bank Ouwigahara Tokens at milestone floors.
Three official quality-of-life changes shape how a run feels now:
- Pause/resume — V0.22 (October 5) added a pause button to the Ouwigahara dungeon, so a run no longer has to be won in one sitting. Since the next day (October 6) the pause has unlimited duration.
- Auto skip wave — a settings toggle from V0.22 that skips the wave countdown for you.
- Auto Loadout — V0.21’s settings page lets you save a loadout per world and mode, including Ouwigahara Normal and Roguelike.
No horses exist anywhere in Ouwigahara — the tower is climbed on foot by design.
Ouwigahara Tokens: the payout table
Tokens are paid at milestone floors. The official V0.2 numbers:
| Milestone | Tokens |
|---|---|
| Floor 10 | 1 |
| Floor 20 | 1 |
| Floor 30 | 2 |
| Floor 40 | 2 |
| Floors 50-90 | 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 (one per milestone) |
| The summit | 10 |
A full climb pays 42 tokens. During the V0.2 launch weekend the developers doubled token gain from floor 30 onward and cut NPC scaling after floor 65 — with the doubling on, a full climb pays 82 tokens (the doubled milestones plus the 10-token summit), and players report 100+ tokens on climbs past floor 110, which three independent runs corroborated in the official Discord (one measured 780,000 Wen of exchanges from a single two-hour run at the 7,500-per-token rate). Milestones past the summit are community-verified rather than officially documented, and check the updates timeline for whether the weekend tunings are still live before you plan a farming night around them.
Where you spend tokens
The exchange lives in Normal Ouwigahara, not the Roguelike — officially confirmed, because the Roguelike does not save your data. The usual route: finish (or die in) a run, talk to the NPCs at the end, and they teleport you to the shops. Current prices from the official change-logs:
- Limited outfits and accessories from the shop racks, rotating stock — costs were halved in the October 4 tuning.
- Series material: 20 tokens — the shortcut into the Nightfall and First Light crafting sets.
- Wen: 1 token = 7,500 Wen (raised from 5,000) — a real Wen farming lane for players who climb well.
- Mastery: 1 token = 5,000 mastery via Changer Zeni — his token trades sit behind a “Show tokens” button that displays your balance.
The card draft
Between floors you draft cards that define the run. V0.22 also reworked the downside problem: Reshuffle can no longer offer negative cards — Pacifist, Glass Cannon, Featherweight, Focused Mind, Heavy Hitter, Thick Blood, Forbidden Art and Twin Souls are all off the table. Ranked Roguelike runs go further and never offer Forbidden Art, Twin Souls or Twin Weapons at all, so every player drafts from the same pool.
What actually wins runs (verified from a floor-100+ gameplay walkthrough plus the official Discord’s high-floor players):
- Always take damage cards — flat damage and damage percent, even the white-rarity ones.
- HP, stamina regen and cooldown-reduction cards are next — again, rarity does not matter.
- Grab every mythic modifier and every multiplier card (the 1.2x, 1.5x and 2x ones) — that stack is how the 200k-point floor-60 runs happen. Skip the trophy-type modifiers that only pad a score.
- Spam Fortune when the walls come. The difficulty cliff players consistently name is floors 70-80 — that is where a clean run usually dies, and reroll-style Fortune cards are the standard answer.
- Skip the skill pick until a genuinely good AoE skill shows up; wave clear speed is the whole game.
- Do not invest in blocking — most NPCs will break your block anyway; spend the picks on offense and sustain instead.
Titles: the head start nobody uses
Press M → Titles before you queue. The mode recognizes two title systems, and both matter:
- Stat titles still apply. Your equipped damage titles (Annihilator, Devastator and friends) carry their bonuses into the run — one verified walkthrough took base damage from 1.7 to 13 before a single card was drafted simply by equipping damage titles. Note the other direction too: V0.22 removed statue kills from damage-title progress, so the grind-statue trick no longer levels your titles.
- The 19 Roguelike titles carry run perks. Each grants something like a starting card, an extra heart or a free reroll when worn into a run. Unwritten is the flagship: your first fall each run is free and respawns you on the spawn pad. Note that tower-run titles only progress on runs that reach floor 10, and floor 100 has its own title — it is the badge endgame groups ask for before letting you into a climbing party.
V0.22 added a settings toggle for the title ranking number if you would rather hide the rank digit on your nameplate — and since V0.23 (October 6) hiding it also hides your number from other players.
Flawless, hearts and the Toll Gate
The climb has a Flawless track: reach the top without dying. The rule to know — trading a heart at the Toll Gate breaks a Flawless climb. If you are hunting a clean run, treat the Toll Gate as an either-or decision before you touch it.
What the Roguelike is not
- It does not save run progress — that is why token spending happens in Normal Ouwigahara. Tokens themselves are safe, though: leaving without spending does not delete them. A crash or disconnect, however, ends the run with nothing banked.
- It is not the ranked ladder — but it has its own official ladder. The main menu’s Ouwigahara boards track Normal and Roguelike as separate seasons (Season 2 closed November 1 per the official leaderboard channel), and Season 1’s Impossible Limited rewards (Champion Outfit/Mask/Hat for the top 100 of 1v1/2v2/3v3, the Chainbound Garb for Normal Ouwigahara, mode haoris for Zenith ranks) were claimed from that ranked board, not from Roguelike runs.
- It does not pay breathing or demon art progression — it is a cosmetics-and-currency lane. The combat systems you bring into it are covered in the combat guide, and the leveling guide remains the fastest route to the cap — the 5,000-mastery-per-token exchange is chiefly a tool for players who are already there.
FAQ
How do you get Ouwigahara Tokens in Slayers 2?
Climb. Tokens pay out automatically at milestone floors — 1 at floors 10 and 20, 2 at 30 and 40, scaling up to 8 in the 50-90 band, and 10 at the summit. A full climb pays 42, and launch-weekend tuning doubled everything past floor 30.
Where do you spend Ouwigahara Tokens?
In Normal Ouwigahara — the Roguelike does not save data. Take the NPC teleport at the end of a run; Changer Zeni’s trades and the shop racks are both there.
What does the Unwritten title do?
Unwritten makes your first fall of each run free and respawns you on the spawn pad instead of ending the climb. It is one of the 19 Roguelike titles that grant a perk when worn into a run.
Is there a pause button in Ouwigahara?
Yes — V0.22 (October 5) added a pause/resume button to the dungeon, plus an auto skip wave toggle in settings. As of October 6 the pause has unlimited duration, so you can step away mid-run without losing it.
What is the fastest way to floor 100?
Equip your best damage titles before queueing, draft damage and cooldown cards over everything else, stack every mythic modifier and multiplier card, hold the skill pick until a strong AoE option appears, keep Fortune cards for the floor 70-80 wall, and skip blocking — wave clear speed carries the climb.
Do tokens disappear if I leave without spending them?
No — players confirm unspent tokens persist. What you lose by leaving is the rest of the run, and a disconnect ends the run with nothing banked at all.
How do 2x Wen gamepasses interact with token exchanges?
The community answer is that the 2x Wen gamepass does not boost the token-to-Wen exchange — the 7,500 per token is flat. This is a single Q&A pair rather than an official note, so treat it as likely rather than certain.
Sourcing
Everything in the payout table, the title list count, the card-pool changes, the exchange rates and the pause/skip-wave features comes from the official Discord change-logs (October 3-5, 2026, guild 727689869526302801). The card-priority and title-equipment strategy is verified against a floor-100+ gameplay walkthrough (Builderboy TV, October 2026, ASR-checked); the mythic-modifier and Fortune strategies, the 82-token weekend math, the floor-110 climbs, the floor 70-80 difficulty wall and the token-persistence behavior are corroborated across multiple independent players in the official Discord’s questions and general channels (October 5-6, 2026). The 2x Wen gamepass exemption is a single-source Q&A and is labelled as such above.
